A Writer's Palette Paintings And Drawings By Banaphool

Why I am publishing this book? Should 1, or should n't? This question has haunted me since 1979 when Banaphool expired. A solo exhibition was organized at the Academy of Fine Arts but received scant response. May be because the short story writer and the novelist Banaphool was more attractive to the intellectuals than the painter in him. Ultimately in 1987 1 produced a documentary on Banaphool, basically for my own satisfaction. While viewing the short film, which shows all his paintings and sketches 1 realized that this gentleman, who was perchance my father, was like a flowing river with a large pair of inner eyes and inner ears to enjoy nature and her produce, be its human inhabitants, birds, flowering trees, barren hill tops, stars, beauty and ugliness in all its glory...
